The goal for these images was to capture the subliminal experience of an old growth forest. To illustrate through the experience of viewing the image the idea of nature in it's most natural balanced state with depth and volume.
I shoot a lot of panoramic images shooting multiple frames across the field of view. This is in line with the concept of the liminal experience. My idea is that a vast expanse of the image wraps around the viewer as they imagine themselves submerged into the image and experience it, gaining some sort of insight into themselves and their connection to nature.
This is a long term project of capturing nature in these types of large panoramics to hopefully create a series of large images that submerse the viewer into a variety of landscapes and experiences.
