Lake Louie Brewing, a 17-year-old craft brewery in Wisconsin, engaged Shine to update their consumer-facing 12-pack carrier to a more cost-effective solution. The new carrier needed to encompass the brewery's backwoods Wisconsin brand with a design that was both cost effective and eye-catching.
Lake Louie Brewing is based out of Arena, a small, rural community in Wisconsin. Like Arena, the brewery had humble beginnings. The brewery was started in the founder's garage on Pine Road, an un-paved road off the highway, and has since expanded to a three tank facility in his front yard. Harnessing this off the beaten path approach, the 12-pack features tall pine trees and outdoor motifs. The design was crafted to bring a popular tagline of the brewery to life, "beer smuggled out of the backwoods." Wood grain overlay combined with cabin imagery is meant to evoke memories of enjoying a couple drinks in simpler times, such as vacations up north.
The client loved the new packaging and was able to cut costs on printing. The success of the new carriers has prompted the client to expand the number of varieties offered in the 12-pack case.
