Junya Watanabe is a Japanese fashion student and I admire his innovative and distinctive work. This piece interprets his work into a brand identity system for his clothing line. While studying his work, I had this idea of representing various spacial dimensions to show the breadth and transcendent quality of his clothing designs. The abstract imagery I created was the result of trying to represent different dimensions and layers within the two-dimensional constraints of a flat paper surface. The different dimensional qualities were connected through the use of unexpected lines and versatile colors. I had a lot of fun working on this project.
