Next was involved in the development of this beautiful brand from inception. We were responsible for name generation, brand strategy, logo design, package design, press packs, posters, livery, corporate clothing, social media and website design.
We extensively researched iconography from mediaveal religious orders and texts as well gaining insights into the clients processes and the brand values. The positioning statement of the brand is "The Alchemy of Gin", leading us to the symbol of copper and Venus relating to the copper still and the alchemy of making gin. This gave us a visual tie-in to the the monks and ancient practices of alchemy which drove the ad campaign.
Product sales have far exceeded expectations and the brand is now breaching international boundaries into new markets. Other variants have also been developed.
