My client was Steelcase, a high-end office furniture company. Steelcase has a storied history, as most companies would if they were over 105 years old. Steelcase not only seeks to design furniture, but to reshape spaces as a whole. Steelcase seeks to shape spaces in order to create the most productive, inviting, and innovative spaces possible. These spaces are not only office spaces, but also designing for healthcare, educational, and home office environments. Steelcase's brand look and feel is very influenced by the Bauhaus style, with hints of constructivist and brutalist influences. I decided to take the brand look and feel and create a bold and elegant book that showcases the brand's versatility, and demonstrate how Steelcase seeks to reshape work environments, or in other words, "Rethink the box", instead of thinking inside the box and not seeking to push boundaries and instead being content with fitting within the norm.
