Approach
These book covers are for the New York Trilogy series, a detective fiction by Paul Auster. The covers are inspired by film noirs of the 1950s to relate to the time period and genre of the books.
Results
The designs tell the stories of the characters (detectives and writes), who find themselves lost and trapped. An emphasis on light and shadow depicts mystery and deceit.
