Finding the ideal balance is an ongoing challenge for citizens in all societies.
Words are not static — they live even after a human being has left this earthly plane. The imagery used suggests this using a stone statue as the "speaker". Words oftentimes outlive the one who uttered them. They have to potential to live on in perpetuity.
