Taking their cues from Wim Crouwel's work, the students were encouraged to cast aside convention and come up with new ideas of what a calendar could look like. In so doing they experimented with typography, image and composition. Grabriella juxtaposed the classic landscape photography of Ansel Adams with modernist and unconventional typography. In a surreal twist Gabriella chose to reimagine Adam's stark black and white photos as psychedelic duotones.
