Working very closely with both the publisher and the photographer, we wanted to design a book that would compliment the powerful photography, while not detract from the work. We designed a book with a minimalist approach, both typographically, and aesthetically. We also opted for printing duotones and spot gray colors, to get the best possible reproduction for the imagery. We were also determined, through the use of paper stock and materials, to produce a book that would both look and feel good in the reader's hands.
