The logo embraces the idea of a new and modern identity while retaining some of the simple elements of the original design - if not exaggerating it even further.
It has the design elements of the type of typography that one might see in a retro game or in the panels of comic books - looking even slightly pixelated. The ‘O’ in the logo represents a screen, which relates to how modern fans mostly interact with the exciting content and moments that are celebrated at COMIC-CON every year.
That exciting experience of entering COMIC-CON for the first time, I wanted to connect it to how one might enter a GAME.
