Achieving a bold and visually arresting look for Culture Shock was the vehicle that allowed us to show the ugly side of glossy patriotism that lives at the beating heart of the story.
Approach
By contrasting a patriotic color palette and treatment with darker undertones, we were able to highlight the chasm between an idealized version of the American dream and the gritty, uncomfortable truth of what it takes for some to achieve it.
Results
Not only did this piece of art thrill the client, but they also reported that it’s served as a benchmark internally and in their briefs to other agencies as a point of reference for what they’d like to see conceptually for other projects.
