Throughout our day, most of us are faced with menial problems and frustrations that are easy for us to share online through social media. These platforms have provided us with a more interconnected world but so many seem disconnected from feeling true empathy for their fellow man. We wanted to put these minor inconveniences in perspective and find a way to bridge the gap of understanding between ordinary people and refugees. These posters are a way to communicate that a refugee may be feeling the same inconveniences you are, but on a far greater scale. It’s a way to give people a chance to relate. To extend the campaign to work internationally, we tailor each campaign to include tweets from people in their countries. This will also open up the availability to include tweets from regular people in addition to celebrities. Our goal is to help people have more empathy.
