Create a poster for the letter-size Rochester Jazz Festival using the festival's name and logo. How are you going to design a poster that is both eye-catching and stunning enough so that someone attending the concert would want to keep it?
Looking at the available content and considering how to make the poster feel jazzier while maintaining a very simple and playful design were my first steps in creating the poster's layout. I began by making assets in Adobe Illustrator, giving them a wide range of color schemes, design approaches, and other customization options. Last but not least, I masked off portions of the text to give the impression that it is being cut off during playback. I think a QR code, which can be scanned by interested parties and lead them to additional information about the event, should be included in every poster as a means of drawing in more potential attendees. There was careful consideration given to each hue in order to provide the attendees with a refreshing, upbeat, and joyful ambiance.
