The assignment was to create a poster for Vans.

One of Vans' most recognizable patterns is without any doubts the Checkerboard that they introduced in the late '70s. Vans is also the most popular brand among skateboarders. To celebrate the recent inclusion of skateboarding as an Olympic discipline in the Tokyo 2020, I thought it would be interesting to edit the iconic pattern to reference the upcoming Olympics.

My result is a minimalist poster that presents the Olympic "Rings" the Vans way.
