This design is a call for entries poster for Art + Effect, a high school poster contest sponsored by the Visual + Performing Arts Department at Cabrini University. The theme of this competition was community. The goal was to interest high school students to participate in this contest.

In this call for entries poster, I wanted to provide an uplifting illustration by combining the symbolic images of the eye, flower, hearts, and rainbow in a hand-drawn manner. The casual script used for "community" connects with this humanistic approach. By demonstrating this social justice topic in a conceptual manner, I present high school students with one of many ways they can tackle this subject and help foster stronger ideation.

As we continue to live through a pandemic, people were drawn to the illustrative and symbolic quality of the illustration. This year, Cabrini received 126 student entries from 12 high schools in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Illinois.
