The goal of this project was to create a logo and branding system for New Hue, a salon located in Austin Texas, that specializes in hair coloring, hair styling, and hair treatment for all hair types.
Approach
The logo evolved from using the morphological matrix combined the letterform N with a hairstyle.
Results
The success of this branding system is seen in the way it expresses the energy of the 70s, a time of color and expression. This hip, retro vibe appeals to a younger audience and those comfortable with experimentation with expressive styles and colors.
