All 650 AGI members from 36 countries were asked to choose a student designer to create a poster for the Brasil Congress. I was chosen by Robert Appleton, who had also been my professor at OCAD University. His poster and mine were both hung side by side at the Museu da Língua Portuguesa museum in Sao Paulo. It was an honor and a great opportunity. And so I devoted myself completely to finding a great solution.

I chose the concept “you don’t know me” because it seemed to express the idea of new talent, and a way to say “hello!" to so many of my heroes and heroines in AGI. My expression of Brazilian culture, it’s freedom and brilliantly colourful spirit came from music “Caetano Veloso” was one of the musical selections sent to us all by the AGI Brasil organizers as inspiration.

I made 3 posters each with a slightly different approach and concept. Robert and I both agreed that this third one was the best!
