The client, Stenberg College, wanted to create a "health care hero" campaign to inspire others to consider a career in health care while also celebrating the success of its graduates. The subject of the poster, Megan Bowers, is a Therapeutic Recreation Assistant who supports older adults in long-term care. She is indeed a health care hero, especially in the midst of a pandemic. Megan's parents were both addicts and, as the oldest sibling, Megan raised her two brothers, ensuring they had a place to sleep each night, were clothed and fed, attended school and did their homework. She also never gave up on her mom and loved and supported her throughout her addiction. In 2011, her mom got clean and says that "beyond a shadow of a doubt I could not have done it without Megan. Megan has been to every meeting that I've achieved a milestone in my recovery. Megan has given me cards for each of these milestones telling me that I inspire her and that I am truly a hero in her eyes. The truth is that if the world is looking for a hero, then Megan is who they're looking for. She had faith in me when I didn't have faith in myself."

Most importantly, Megan and her Mom loved the poster, the video and the campaign. Megan's story inspires others including faculty, current students and prospective students. Megan Bowers is indeed a hero.
