In the summer of 2020, Nara Prefectural University's practical art management human resource development program "CHISOU" started.
Balloon Inc. participated in the "Expression" program by Mr. Daiki Yamashiro, and did fieldwork and designed the symbol and logotype.

The goal of this program is to connect artworks with society and to work towards a state where all people are creative, which can be called a sense of living and a skill that is necessary beyond the field of art.

Expressing the layers of history in digital form
In order to digitally express the multilayered nature of Nara's history, which has continued for over 1,400 years, the original hand-drawn "NARA" typeface was digitally transformed 1,400 times, including scaling and compression. The pattern shown below, which is automatically generated by such operations, will be used as the main visual.

In collaboration with the project team, the artist, Mr. Yamashiro, created a unique awareness of the issue and held an exhibition to connect his work with society. By holding the exhibition in the historical city of Nara, we encouraged the participation of viewers in an open space, and asked questions about common sense and "normality.
