The assignment was to create a typographic logo for a restaurant that the student creates. Once the logo was created, the job of the student was to find a proper storefront that would fit the brand of the restaurant to photograph and photoshop the logo on.

I wanted to create a family style restaurant that had a fun, festive feel. I decided to go with Mexican food and ended up with tacos. When creating the logo, I looked at a series of different fonts, past logos, and other Mexican restaurants to help inspire my creation. For the storefront I looked around Fort Worth to find a casual looking restaurant that had a more friendly feel.

In the final results, I decided on the name Tacky Taco, which has a nice ring that promotes a quirky, family restaurant feel. The final logo consists of a casual, hand written font with festive accents to balance the logo and promote the brand. The two "T"s in the logo have been morphed in to cacti to further the brand even more. The restaurant I decided to photograph to photoshop the logo on has a very casual feel and a sign large enough to incorporate design and a slogan. I decided to apply the confetti in the logo as a secondary element in the sign and use the slogan "Join the Fiesta".
