The new Mirinda Slice bottle strengthens the brand’s story with dynamic tactile product packaging. Inspired by the action of fruit being sliced, the new PET bottle depicts two textured tangerine slices, halved by a diagonal “cut” in the packaging. The bottle design mirrors the existing family of Mirinda products while giving it an updated, fresh feeling.
Developed from scratch and launched in just nine months, the new design concept was a challenge to bring to realization within a short timeline. With a reduced weight format combined with carbonation pressure, multiple tests and simulations were required to achieve the successful final design.
The new PET bottle design packaging celebrates the fruitiness of Mirinda in an innovative way, and addresses the specific needs of the Chinese beverage market.
