We are asked to create a four stamps collection for the US postal service. The theme of the stamps needs to be related to US culture and history.
Approach
I choose to do a cocktail as my concept. The cocktail was originally invented in New Orleans, United State. Since then, it has been a very popular alcoholic fun drink to have in night-bars and parties. If people are sending party invitations to people, cocktail stamps will suit the letter very well. So, US postal service should have a series about the cocktail.
Results
My stamps have a very funky style of illustration. So I used a font called Baloo Bhaijaan. It is a very bubbly font that suits the style of my illustration. For the body copy description, I used Futura in the 13pts. The style of my illustration is very similar, Futura will everything in a consistent style. I used a line of continuity to align my text, which creates visual hierarchy and organization.
