From a large property in rural Ontario, Heritage Bee Company gives people the opportunity to host their own beehive, allowing for natural and sustainable propagation of an important species of pollinator. Their hive hosting programs both support healthy honeybee populations by connecting consumers to organic beekeeping processes and yield a range of products made from premium, raw, unpasteurized honey—products that required branding and packaging.

The brand identity we created makes the honeybee the star attraction in its natural environment pollinating wildflowers. Woodcut-style illustration, custom drawn letterforms, and a bright colour palette form a composition that follows in the craft tradition but has modern sensibility. Products that we designed colourful packaging for include jars of flavoured creamed honey, seed bomb pouches and gift boxes.
