Most cookie dough packaging either comes in a large tube that needs to be cut open or it comes in a tray that has precut sizes; both of these options are not resealable which means the cookie dough can go bad or absorb flavors from the other food items found in the refrigerator. My packaging uses a plastic jar that has a screw on lid to allow for easy storing and freshness. Each jar is placed in a cardboard cylinder container with diecuts to show the consumer the fun, unique colors of the cookie dough. Nova Cookies is designed with a galaxy theme to appeal to the young adult audience and uses a mostly black with pops of color for a sleeker look for the adults while the pops of color will attract the children of said adults. The lid for these cylinders are perforated to encourage the consumer to peel back the lid and slide the plastic jar out, rather than ripping the cardboard. This also leads to a surprise message on the interior of the lid. If consumers would like to purchase a gift box, a larger tube is designed to hold three flavors stacked vertically. In order to get these out of the gift box, a handle at the top encourages the consumer to lift them out of the larger tube in an elevator-like fashion. The outside of the variety pack is designed to show the consumer what flavors are found inside, which are stacked in the same order as the graphic depicts.
