Paces West an iconic Atlanta project is a two building complex. It was originally built in 1990, in a Post Modern style project. Lorenc+Yoo Design developed styled branding that related closely to the building. In 2014, TIER REIT, wanted to update the property. In liu of an architectural renovation they decided to once again engage Lorenc+Yoo Design to design a vibrant signage system that was more up to date and resolved some wayfinding issues on the property.
Approach
LYD designed a new logo, and a series of vibrant glass panels with vertical pylon signage that would speak to todays more contemporary style . This signage would signal to the community that the project is being updated and has become more visible day and night. LYD also addressed the parking garage signage, this time addressing the issue that some of the key signage elements should be back lit so that they are more visible on the garage and within the garage.
Results
The motive for this renovation was to put the complex on the market and sell it, and this happened within 6 months of the project rebranding.
