Product Extension for the iRobot Mop: For this project we must create an advertisement promoting a product extension for a national household retail brand. The goal is to feature the product in way that portrays the uniqueness of the product compared to its competitors, as well as showing consumers the similar products they have to offer.
Approach: I wanted to show off the feature that this mop lets you clean without lifting a finger, giving you more time to focus on other important things in your life. I chose to make the headline appear to be the mess that is on the floor that the mop is cleaning up. The headline "Jett's First Sleepover" with muddy footprints and dirt all around illustrate the chaos and mess that can happen when there are a bunch of boys at the house. For a parent, you often begin to stress at the increasing mess that takes place and think about how much you will have to clean the next day. For the iRobot mop, this isn't the case anymore. You can now "Focus on the memories, not the mess" as the mop eases your stress and allows you to be content in the moment absorbing the memories that are taking place.
