In recognition of the birth of sculptor Martí Castells, an exhibit of his work is presented at the Vinseum. The Castells workshop is renowned for the detail and quality of the nativity figures.

Our approach was to use the catalan cultural context to send an easy -but clever- message to the audience... In Catalonia, it is customary to protect the nativity figures -the nativity figures refer to scenes from the birth and adoration of baby Jesus- with newspaper to prevent them from becoming damaged during storage.

The solution proposes an intelligent approximation to the world of religious and nativity figures. Each individual completes the message by creating the figures using their imagination. The distribution of the typographic elements reveal a second reading, thereby “sanctifying” the wrapped volume.
