The BC Lions of the CFL wanted to celebrate their star players and also build intrigue with a younger, less familiar fanbase at the same time. We wanted to create imagery that was more intimate than the typical athlete portrait, encouraging the viewer to learn more about the athlete’s backgrounds and history.
