Martin Venezky Experimental Typography is a poster that I created for a lecture by Martin Venezky. The idea behind the poster is to experiment with type to create a three dimensional feeling. I imposed imaginary shadows to create a dynamic design.
Approach
The professor gave us different printed letters and words in different fonts to experiment. For this poster I folded the letter E and then I made one cut. Then I told a classmate to make some lines with a sharpie. After all this was done, I scanned it and added the information about the event.
Results
With some help from a classmate and experimenting with typography, I was able to create a dynamic poster. It has a three dimensional feel to it and it's interesting to the eye.
