I've always wanted to visit Scotland, but in winter, as I wanted the weather to play a powerful, dramatic role in creating moody, darker imagery. I got more than I bargained for. Everything was shot with available light, often while it was raining. I brought my daughter along to be my model. Knowing the landscape palette was going to be basically green and grey, I wanted my daughter to stick out in this bleak, powerful landscape - thus the pops of pink and red. This particular photograph was shot in Fairy Glen on the Isle of Skye.
