The Milwaukee Fire Department’s Survive Alive House has been saving the lives of children and families since its inception. In an effort to reach children beyond the existing brick/mortar location, MFD pioneered a first-of-its-kind mobile teaching tool with the financial help of corporate partners.
Building on the illustrative look Traction Factory established for other MFD community relations initiatives, we created a look that was educational, engaging and disruptive on-location and in transit – addressing a serious topic while remaining age-appropriate for the primarily school-age audience.
The Mobile Survive Alive House has been embraced/celebrated at all levels of city government and within the Milwaukee Fire Department. Media interest at launch has been significant. It remains the only teaching tool if its kind in the US.
