Evolo is an up-and-coming architecture magazine with groundbreaking content, however, eclectic in its current form. I felt that keeping the magazine more centered to a strong brand would help it feel more contemporary, while allowing the content to get across more consistently. Beginning with masthead and covers, I worked from the contents spread, to departments, and then through to features, giving each a touch of personality, yet basing it in the new branding. Every element on each spread is based in architecture. From the grid, based on the Golden Ratio, to the relationship of the column heights to city skylines. Each page was thoughtfully crafted to reflect the branding and the contemporary content.
