The concept stems from the narrative of the film, from the duality of the relationship between the fragile Gelsomina and the rough Zampano, who - in a booklet - always prevails over Gelsomina in larger formats. Eventhough Gelsomina is presented in small images, she always faces a reader in her full image - in contrast to Zampano, whose images are on a large format, but always shown only partly. Through discomfort, anger, and finally hysteria, we follow the story with a typographic layout and cutouts in the sheets that constantly lock Glesomina into Zampano’s frames.
