The goal was to create key art that continued the same homespun kitsch of the past two seasons’ campaigns. The art should feel small town and almost handmade while incorporating unexpected elements of danger and crime.

We explored several different themes of the Fargo universe in general and also themes specific to this new third season. We found that stamp-themed art allowed us to incorporate interesting images and elements within the stamps themselves.

The stamp sheet art falls entirely into the Fargo branding and color palette while itself being a central theme of the third season’s plot. Each stamp features imagery and themes from both the show’s setting and storyline in order to engage the audience to examine the stamps for clues as to what’s coming next this season.
