I had the incredible opportunity of photograph a few of the thousands of old motorcycles collected in the Wheels Through Time Museum as part of a story for a journal dedicated to all things Harley-Davidson. This article focuses on Harley Davidson's racing heritage.
Approach
Yes, these are motorcycles. But for me, they are less that and more works of art - moving sculptures if you will. And my approach was to photograph them in a stylized studio rather than an open road (as all of them do actually work), in an attempt to showcase the sheer beauty of these machines. I absolutely love stuff like this.
Results
The results were fantastic, generating a lot of interest for Wheels Through Time, the journal on Harleys, and, of course, for me.
