I was tasked to create a poster for the play Biloxi Blues. I was told to use typography as the main focus and a header that conveys the feel of the play.
Approach
Through this poster I wanted to depict the military and masculine themes of Biloxi Blues. I incorporated the typography into a military combat boot print. I used the saying "He'll make a man out of you" to allude to the conflict of Sergeant Merwin J. Toomey and Arnold Epstein.
Results
This project was successful in incorporating typography while keeping the boot print recognizable.
