This poster joins a series of social awareness posters on the subject of gun-control that we have developed over the years. As part of this exploration, we want to bring attention to the issue of gun control and the need for more effective legislation in the US.

Each poster in this series begins as a visual play on the American flag to emphasize that this is an American problem. The flag is then coupled with the tragic event it is highlighting. In this iteration, we wanted to get the idea across that 14,717 lives lost, by at least that many bullets and very likely many more, is staggering. We used a well-worn flag with a variety of mediums to create the end result.

This poster and the others in the series are used to promote awareness and push for improved gun legislation. We make our posters available to non-profit organizations that promote this cause.
