CheckPoint is an all-in-one to-do list, mood tracker, and journal prototype. It encourages productivity along with mental wellness. With this concept, I wanted to help people who struggle with putting too much on their plate break their work down into more manageable tasks. Including a journal allows users to think about how they felt in association with their daily tasks.
The design is simple and easy to use. Existing task and journal apps have features that are too overwhelming or too simple. I wanted to find the perfect balance between the two. I chose to go with a more minimal, yet amicable design accompanied by smooth microinteractions to add a pleasant sense of depth. The vector illustration style and pastel colors create a sense of calm friendliness throughout the app.
The final prototype was received well by my class. They enjoyed the simple yet charming design. They also expressed an interest in the concept of associating a mood tracker and journal with daily tasks.
