Omar Soulyman is an indie musican and singer who mixes Dabke folk beats with electronic music. Originally Syrian, he became a cult in the west and did collaborative work with Bjork.
Approach
Redesign the kitsch visual identity of the musician to a contemporary one that reflects the fusion of his music.
Results
The iconic headscarf that the Omar Soulyman always wear was used as the background of the poster and part of the illustration of the musician himself, while the type was mixed in a way so the both Arabic and English are juxtaposed into one form.
