Scotch™ Mount packaging was redesigned to communicate strength, reliability, and speak to the heritage of the Scotch™ brand within the space of double-sided mounting tape. The team wanted to respect the historical significance of the brand equities inherent to the Scotch™ Brand, but bring a strong, consistent voice to the Double-Sided Mounting Tape portfolio as well. It was imperative to not only speak to the power and reliability of the product portfolio, but to bring a differentiated and reliable voice to the shelf as well.
The Scotch Mount™ redesign brought an updated viewpoint to a product category that is not just simply useful, but that gives consumers the reassurance in the strength of our double-double sided mounting tape. Through qualitative and quantitative testing, we were able to fine tune an optimize the approach of our redesign to stand out and be intuitive for our customers.
The packaging redesign supports and highlights the iconic brand while bringing a modern perspective to the portfolio. Additionally, the blister used is specific to the Scotch™ Mount portfolio. This revitalized consumer interest in our Scotch Mount™ Products and allowed the portfolio to remain competitive and lead the category at shelf. Overwhelmingly the feedback and interest from consumers has been very positive.
