The idea behind this project was that I was assigned to create an advertisement for a snack brand. We had to come up with a concept, headline, body copy, and then digitalize the advertisement. For this assignment, I chose to utilize the brand gushers because I wanted to play around with the colors and create an advertisement where the type is exploding out of the package.

Coming up with my headline too much exploration, but eventually I landed on "Bursting with Joy" because I wanted to remind the audience of the fun that comes with eating gushers. To create this advertisement, I utilized Procreate to draw out all of the drops of juice and shade them to look realistic. The first round I did was very stiff with the juice drops, so I spent many more rounds trying to add more life and bounce to my illustration. I originally had a color palette that was more primary so I had to work to come up with a color palette that connected to the product but added more depth. I also started out with a very different layout where the gushers packet was a the bottom and the explosion was right above but I quickly realized that it looked like a hot air balloon so to fix that I shifted the location of the Gushers packet to the bottom corner with the explosion coming out at an angle.

Overall, this was a successful project. It was a struggle to create the advertisement, but I feel that in the end I create an advertisement that sticks to the identity of Gushers but still is appealing to the audience.
