At the beginning of this project, I was randomly assigned a combination of a design movement and a music genre to create a complete album package. My combination was Russian Constructivism and classical music, for which I chose to use Tchaikovsky's The Nutcracker.
Approach
My goal was to focus on the directionality and movement of the Constructivist movement. I used a limited color palette to reference the movement, but to make it feel more modern and less a direct copy of Constructivism, I used a combination of black and yellow rather than the traditional black and red.
Results
Overall, I am very proud of how this project came out and both my peers and professor reacted very positively.
