This logo was the result of a Brand and Identity redesign project for a Communication Design class about Identity and Systems design taught by Carrie Osgood.

I chose the brand Chessex Manufacturing to redesign because they are one of the largest, if not the largest, manufacturer of polyhedral dice in the industry of polyhedral dice. However, their logo and almost entire identity seems rather lackluster for being the largest company of any industry. I drew upon inspiration from the sorts of table-top games that myself and many of my close friends use polyhedral dice for, specifically Dungeons and Dragons as well as Pathfinder.

The result of this redesign was a full identity system in which this logo was applied. I created an identity and more specifically a brand guideline for this company in addition to the logo. This new identity was applied to a variety of platforms, from a newly designed website to business cards and advertisements. This logo is meant for an interchangeable color backdrop and between the black type version and white type version, it is successful with all the colors in which their polyhedral dice are available in.
