The Biennial of the Americas was created in 2010 to provide an international platform for leaders in business, government, education, the arts, and society as a whole to examine the significant issues that impact North, South, and Central America, as well as the Caribbean. The festival, which happens every 2 years, features performances, art exhibits, and symposiums.
EBD developed the brand identity and was tasked with creating all of the collateral for the 2015 festival, including this poster.
We chose to use energetic colors that represented the cross-pollination that happens when people from all of the countries involved get together to share ideas. Graphic boxes that show the connections that happen were used to segment the events.
The 2015 poster was very successful in making sure the public knew about all of the associated events, and understood they could attend. The graphics made it easy to recognize where an event was happening, which was especially helpful since events were spread around the city.
