In 2007, Dry Fly Distilling launched into the spirit market with three products including vodka, gin, and whiskey. It is the first micro distillery in Washington State since Prohibition and was created by two friends and avid fly fishermen. In order to be competitive in the current market, Dry Fly positioned itself as an ultra-premium product of small batch, hand-crafted spirits. Dry Fly strived to capture the spirit of the Pacific Northwest and the great outdoors with its iconic red fly that served as the bridge between the founder’s passion for fly fishing and their new line of spirits.
