The goal of this project was to create a letterform logo design, by combining an object and a letter, for the Zippo brand.
Approach
I combined the highly recognizable Zippo lighter shape with the letter Z, using it at the body of the lighter. The grey color comes from the color of Zippo lighters, while the bright red contrasts the gray and represents the sparks and energy that comes from using a Zippo.
Results
This logo is successful because it is simple and recognizable, even without the Logotype.
