Design MMoCA is a one-of-a-kind event put on by the Madison Museum of Contemporary Art (MMoCA). 2014 will be its fourth Design MMoCA event (2008, 2010 and 2012). It will consist of a 10-day showcase where art-inspired designs will be on display; April 25 – May 4, 2014. This event is conceived both as a fundraiser for MMoCA’s year-round free exhibitions and education programs, as well as a signature design event.
Build awareness by driving excitement and interest. The number of applicants and the overall
outcome of the exhibition will measure success.
Due to the success of the 2012 event, the 2014 Design MMoCA event will also be open to a
wider design community, inviting participants from a range of fields including graphic design,
fashion design, industrial design, interior design, architecture and landscape design. As with
past events, participants will draw their inspiration from a piece in MMoCA’s permanent
collection (5,000) to create their piece.
