My assignment was to create a feature spread for a magazine on any subject I wanted. The goal was to design something great using the processes I've learned in my academic program over the last two years.

My approach was a mixture of research and experimentation. I utilized words lists and mind maps to get to know my subject so that I could communicate as much about his life as I could through the design. I then experimented with selections from the photograph and geometric shapes to build a unique structure that would tie in all the pieces of the design.
