The inspiration for my senior thesis is basically my dreams. I am an introverted person, but I have dreams frequently, and those dreams are genuinely colorful and exciting. I want my illustration to show the contrast between me in reality and me in a more colorful world.
Approach
I took elements from my dreams and experimented boldly with color schemes to make the colors more fantastical. I use ink to draw the outlines and then color the picture digitally.
Results
The main character is standing on the water, and the non-existent world is reflected under the water's surface. The audience said the painting is interesting to look at both forward and backward.
