FILMAR en América Latina is the most important festival dedicated to Latin American cinema and cultures in Switzerland.

Militant and committed films, testimonials, retrospectives of cinema personalities, the first works of emerging talents: the program reflects the richness, diversity and memories of the Latin American continent around seven sections.

The visual identity is based on the Mayan language, a means of transmitting knowledge and information.

The glyphs represent hands that is referring to cinema’s actions like framing, shooting or recording.

Glyphs with their large sizes are highly visible in public space, powerful, easily recognizable and act as a rallying sign.

The project was well received and exhibited many times around the world.
